No serious injuries in parking lot scuffle among six boys.
No one was injured and no one pressed charges after six boys got into a fistfight in the Mandel Jewish Community Center parking lot Sunday. According to a police report, the incident began with an argument at around 7 p.m. March 4. The fight escalated, becoming physical, and a parent stepped in to stop it, police said. Beachwood Police requested help from Pepper Pike Police, but the fight was over when officers arrived. Police did not charge anyone and don't know why the argument began.

Register for Sunday's big event
The Mandel Jewish Community Center will host its annual indoor triathlon in the center’s new facility for the first time this Sunday. Spots are still open for participants, who will swim, bike and run alongside the teens and young adults who participate in the Jewish Family Service Association’s YouthAbility and Ascentia Mental Health programs. The event is timed, and winners are determined by laps swam and distance walked or run in 15 or 20 minutes. Playmakers Youth Theatre to present fairy tale beginning Feb. 23
Tickets are on sale now for the Mandel Jewish Community Center’s production of Cinderella, and your little princes and princesses can get a backstage peek. The Playmakers Youth Theatre’s 8th- through 12th-graders will present the play Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays Feb. 23 to March 4. Tickets start at $8 and, for an additional $5, children 8 and under can get a backstage tour, a dance with Cinderella and refreshments at one of Cinderella’s Royal Balls, which take place before each Sunday performance. The Mandel Jewish Community Center’s Playmakers Youth Theatre is proud to present Grease, Jr. A talented group of 225 students will perform the show, which includes songs from the popular Broadway musical, including “Summer Nights,” “We Go Together” and “Greased Lightning.” Grease, Jr. will be presented by three different casts of 2nd-9th graders December 1-18 at Fairmount Temple, 27373 Fairmount Blvd., Beachwood. After spending a hopelessly devoted summer with Sandy Dumbrowski, the new girl in town, Danny Zuko's world is thrown upside down when Sandy appears at Rydell High on the first day of school. Authors talk about their new book and their experiences living and working in Jerusalem during the Palestinian uprising, which was the deadliest conflict ever between Israelis and Paletinians
When veteran journalists Jennifer Griffin and her husband Greg Myre arrived in Jerusalem in 1999, they were surprised to find how normal and calm everyday life was. But they soon discovered that another conflict between Israelis and Palestinians was brewing, which erupted in a second Intifada in the fall of 2000 that lasted for several years. Griffin and Myre recount their experiences living in and reporting on the deadliest conflict ever between Israelis and Palestinians in a recently published book, This Burning Land. Griffin worked as a foreign correspondent for Fox News and Myre was a reporter for The New York Times. The Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage will host human rights activist Peter Godwin tonight at 7 p.m. We’ll be at Saks tonight for Fashion’s Night Out, which will benefit the AIDS Task Force of Greater Cleveland. Jodi Sperling will leave Mandel next month for national JCC job
The Mandel Jewish Community Center's Camp Wise director Jodi Sperling will leave for a job at the national Jewish Community Center Association next month, the Cleveland Jewish News reports.
