Two Men Accused Of Using Fraudulent Credit Cards To Swindle Stores in Beachwood, Mayfield

According to the US Attorney's Office, the suspects had 55 fraudulently obtained credit cards

A grand jury returned a four-count indictment charging two men with crimes related to their possession of about 55 fraudulently obtained credit cards that they used to purchase more than $5,000 worth of merchandise from various stores at Beachwood Place Mall and Golden Gate shopping plazas, said Steven M. Dettelbach, the United States attorney for the Northern District of Ohio. “These men are accused of going on a shopping spree with fake credit cards,” Dettelbach said. “We all pay the price when people engage in theft like this and this office will work with our partners to stamp out credit card fraud.” James Gibson of Orlando, FL, and Lansford Beuns of Newport News, VA, were indicted on counts of conspiracy to commit access device fraud…

Man receives mall ban Thursday, December 20, 4:23 p.m. — Employees at Next in Beachwood Place Mall called police for stealing an unspecified amount of items from the store. The store declined to prosecute the man, but he received a lifetime ban from the clothing retailer. He is also banned from the mall for a year. UPDATED: Beachwood Police Assist Orange Village PD in Shooting

Beachwood Police helped respond to a shooting in Orange Village this morning.

Beachwood Police have confirmed assisting the Orange Village Police Department this morning in a hotel shooting. Fox 8 reported that a gunman opened fire at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel on Orange Place. A WKYC report indicates that a woman was struck. Though Beachwood Police confirmed aiding an arrest, the department referred any further questions to Orange Village Police Chief Christopher Kostura. A message for Kostura has not yet been returned. The Fox report states that dozens of officers searched for the gunman, who was found after running behind the Fairfield Inn. Reports state that some hotels on Orange Place are under lockdown, but a supervisor at Fairfield Inn said that hotel is not one of them. 11:50 a.m. - Courtyard Marriott …

Yea...so this guy was found hiding behind the hotel me and my teenage daughter are staying at and she went down 2 get breakfast by herself when all of this was going down. She saw police surrounding buildiing and told me when she came back 2 room, and Fairfield is saying we weren't on lockdown?
