The Beachwood junior and Division III 160-pound state championship was honored by both the Ohio House and Senate
Division III 160-pound state champ Ryan Harris was honored for his victory earlier this month by the Ohio House and Senate. The Beachwood junior told BeachwoodBison.org that it was a great experience to speak before both houses of the state legislature. “The night before I watched someone get recognized from the year before for track,” he told the web site. “It was kind of nerve-wracking, I didn’t know what they were going to think, but once I started talking it was fun. It was kind of weird, all the people in suits and ties looking at you. I wear a suit and tie like once a year.” Harris and his fellow Bison wrestler Sammy Gross have also earned the right to represent the United States in this summer’s Maccabiah Games in Israel. The …

They will be happy to be around him. I think what will end up happening is these kids will play very, very hard for him. I think he’ll connect with these kids really, really quickly. I think it will be a nice transition going from coach (Ryan) Williams to Mike Gibbons.” Gibbons will replace Coach Ryan …
