Sneiderman Re-Indicted; 4 Non-Murder Charges Dropped

Andrea Sneiderman is still charged with malice murder and felony charges in connection with the 2010 shooting death of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman.

A DeKalb County Superior Judge Gregory Adams dismissed four non-murder charges against Andrea Sneiderman on May 1 in connection with the 2010 Dunwoody, GA daycare shooting death of her husband, Rusty Sneiderman, a Beachwood native. In addition to facing malice murder and felony murder charges in connection with the death of her late husband, Sneiderman is also still facing charges for allegedly giving false statements to law enforcement officials, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Judge Dismisses Four Charges in Andrea Sneiderman Murder Case, For Now

Sneiderman will be in court again May 21 for a new indictment.

An investigator testified earlier this week that Andrea Sneiderman deleted texts and phone calls from her employer Hemy Neuman on the day her husband was killed, according to 11alive.com. Sneiderman is accused of conspiring to kill her husband, Beachwood native Russell Sneiderman, and Neuman is serving a life sentence for the shooting after a trial which painted Andrea Sneiderman as a manipulator in a murder plot to get her late husband's $2 million life insurance payout. Andrea Sneiderman Asks For 13 Of The Charges Against Her To Be Dropped

Attorneys for Sneiderman claimed in the court that 13 of the 16 counts against her lacked specificity and should be dismissed

Andrea Sneiderman and her attorneys appeared in court last week, asking that 13 of the 16 charges against her be dismissed. Sneiderman is accused of conspiring to kill her husband, Beachwood native Russell Sneiderman. Her attorneys argued to Judge Gregory Adams that most of the charges on which she has been indicted are too vague, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “She is entitled to an indictment that adequately, legally, sufficiently puts her on notice of what she’s accused of doing,” her attorney John Petrey said, according to the newspaper. “And we ain’t there yet.” Meanwhile, prosecutors contend the indictment was sufficiently specific. Sneiderman Attorneys Want Charges Dropped

Representatives have asked that most of the 16 charges be dismissed.

Lawyers for the woman accused of conspiring to kill her husband, Beachwood native Russell Sneiderman, want non-murder charges against her to be dropped. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, attorneys filed a motion to have 13 of 16 charges dropped on Monday. The paper reported that representatives argued "prosecutors failed to specifically address allegations she lied to police and concealed evidence that could have led to the capture of her husband’s killer." The woman accused of conspiring to kill her husband, Beachwood native Russell Sneiderman, has dropped a lawsuit against his family alleging libel. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Sneiderman sued Russell Sneiderman's brother and parents for libel, defamation, slander and emotional distress in response to their wrongful suit against her, which preceeded her criminal charges.
