She ain't no "call"aback girl- A Cuyahoga Falls woman knew something was amiss when 100 people called her on Jan. 6 looking for a "good time." According to Cuyahoga Falls police, the surge of gentlemen callers was no fluke; it appears someone created a "Casual Encounters" Craigslist ad using the woman's name and phone number without her permission. The woman became aware of the ad on Jan. 9, called police and said she had a suspect; however, the initial lead didn't pan out. Police are still investigating. This …

Snoring man causes alarm at hotel Dec. 30, 7:16 a.m. — Police were called to the Fairfield Inn after someone said that a man, wrapped in blankets, was sleeping in the hall. When police arrived, they questioned the man, who said that he was sleeping in the hall so that his snoring would not disturb his wife. Woman charged with stealing at Dillard’s Dec. 30, 1:54 p.m. — A woman was arrested at Dillard’s at the Beachwood Place Mall and charged with stealing $263 of merchandise. Man charged with shoplifting at mall Dec. 22, 5:51 p.m. — A man was arrested at Sephora at the Beachwood Place Mall and charged with shoplifting $171 of merchandise. “Batman” causes alarm at mall Dec. 23, 5:57 p.m. — A 17-year-old male was arrested at the Beachwood Place Mall and charged with disorderly conduct after police say he ran through the mall wearing a Batman mask and a hood, “causing annoyance and alarm to shoppers,” the report states. Man accused of assaulting employee at local sandwich spot because he was unhappy with his sandwich.

A man was arrested at Charley's Subs at the Beachwood Place Mall after police say he punched an employee, sending him to the hospital, over a sandwich. York Burks, 19, was arrested and charged with simple assault and trespassing Saturday, Nov. 17, just before 9 p.m. Beachwood Police said that he went to Charley's with a complaint about his sandwich. The employee told him that they would refund his money with a receipt, but Burks did not have one. That's when Burks reportedly jumped over the counter and punched the employee in the face. A video of a bus driver punching a passenger on an RTA bus that has gone viral online is from an incident in Beachwood, an RTA spokesperson confirmed today. Her call, her arrest: Tara Lynn Silk's incomplete call to Stow Police led to officers finding drug paraphernalia at a home in the 4100 block of Stow Road. Silk had essentially called the police on herself. Police arrested Silk upon arrival because she had a failure-to-appear warrant out for her arrest, stemming from a May 17 court date for driving under suspension. She also received charges for a glass marijuana water bong, a used marijuana pipe, a black plate with white powder, residue and a straw. Officers also found a 22-inch hunting knife with a 7-inch blade, according to the report. Silk was released on bond.
