Beachwood Chamber of Commerce members will have their first opportunity of 2013 to network tonight at a members-only event. The organization is hosting a "Networking After Five" event tonight from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Sushi Rock. The Chamber hopes members will shake hands, exchange cards and potentially find cross-marketing opportunities or ways to do business with one another. Sushi Rock will also offer appetizers. Several Beachwood restaurants participating in $33 three-course menu specials
Cleveland Restaurant Week starts today, and many local spots are offering special menus April 2 to 14 (excluding April 8) for the Cleveland Independents event. Moxie, the Restaurant — whose executive chef stepped into the role of president of Cleveland Independents last week — is one of five Beachwood spots offering the $33 prix fixe menu. Local businesses team up to teach students to slice, dice and roll

Local restaurants serve up delectable delights
More than 200 people brought their appetites for this year's Taste of Beachwood Tuesday at Embassy Suites. The annual event featured signature dishes from about a dozen restaurants and caterers. The participating restaurants and caterers were: Beachwood Bistro, Chop It Salad Co., CJ's American Bar & Grill, Costco, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Hiroshi's Pub, Maggiano's Little Italy, Mitchell's Fish Market, Moxie, Red, Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar, Phil the Fire and Sushi Rock.

Only 50 seats left for local foodie event
With local fare from places like Moxie, Sushi Rock and Phil the Fire, it’s not surprising that only 50 seats are left for the Taste of Beachwood. Local restaurants will serve up samples and the Beachwood High School Chamber Ensemble will provide music. Vendors listed so far include Beachwood Bistro, Chop It Salad Co., CJ's American Bar & Grill, Costco, Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar, Hiroshi's Pub, Maggiano's Little Italy, Mitchell's Fish Market, Moxie, Red, Paladar Latin Kitchen & Rum Bar, Phil the Fire and Sushi Rock. The Chamber of Commerce is hosting the event at Embassy Suites in Beachwood Nov. 1 from 5 to 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 and the event is limited to 250 seats.
