Residents of Menorah Park Senior Living Center in Beachwood smashed pies in administrators faces for charity on Wednesday.
Residents and staff at the Menorah Park Senior Living Center raised more than $2,000 for Superstorm Sandy victims on Wednesday. And they did in a tasty way: throwing pies. Seniors were able to pay to chuck pies at administrators to benefit the Hebrew Home at Riverdale in the Bronx, NY. The event also featured costume jewelry, baked goods and craft sale.
Employees help out, and you can, too
It's been said it's far better to have a neighbor who's near, than a brother who's far away, but in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, Americans across the nation have proven to be the best neighbors and the strongest of families. This past weekend, AOL and Patch employees took an opportunity to pitch in, packing two tractor trailers worth of food, water and supplies in Dulles, VA, and Baltimore.
