Woman robbed of $6,000 cash Thursday, March 14 10 a.m. — A woman reported that Feb. 25 someone robbed her of $6,000 cash. The woman said that she drove with a friend and another person to a Beachwood car dealership to purchase a car. Her friend had told her to bring cash for the down payment, she said. The second man, who the woman did not know, told her that he had a gun and demanded the cash. There were no injuries and no one has been charged for the robbery. Painter scares resident in address mix-up Jan. 22, 12:07 p.m. — A Halcyon Road woman reported that her 19-year-old daughter saw a man trying to break into their garage door while they were inside the home. An officer arrived at the home and talked to the man the teen described, who told him that he was a painter hired to make repairs, but he was at the wrong house.
