Students compete to blow the horn for the new year
Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year and the first of the High Holy Day observances. The year began on Wednesday evening. That morning, students at the Agnon School cheered contestants in Shofar Idol — a competition to see who could blow a ram's horn for the longest time.
