Crash Snarls Interstate 271
Semi jack knifes and begins back up stretching for miles
A tractor trailer has jack knifed, sparking a traffic snarl on Interstate 271 that's stretching for miles. The accident is in the southbound express lanes near Chagrin Boulevard and traffic is being diverted to local lanes north of Cedar Road. Our live traffic map indicates heavy traffic from north of Wilson Mils Road to south of highway 422 as well as local streets surrounding 271 exits along that stretch. Reports on Twitter indicate that traffic is stop-and-go and ODOT reports blowing snow and poor visibility. Some have Tweeted that other accidents have popped up on the stretch, too.
