Serial Bank Robber Hits Shaker Heights

A man is now a suspect in seven Cleveland-area bank robberies.

The man who robbed Huntington Bank in Shaker Heights Thursday afternoon is also a suspect in six other bank robberies in the area, according to information from the Cleveland FBI. Since Oct. 26, the man is accused of robbing banks in Cleveland Heights, University Heights, Cleveland, and Lyndhurst. Most recently, the man, described as black, approximately 6 feet tall and 230 to 250 pounds, robbed Huntington Bank on Fairmount Boulevard in Shaker Heights just after 4:30 p.m. Nov. 15. The man, just like he did in the Cleveland Heights robbery, presented a note that the bank was being robbed and wore a white powdery substance or paint on his face.
