Sen. Sherrod Brown, Wife Connie Schultz Called Out by Blogger for Hugging

Connie Schultz posts "gotcha" exchange from blogger looking for "an expose on journalists in the elite media who socialize with elected officials they are assigned to cover."

At a Beachwood event Monday honoring a local World War II veteran with a Purple Heart, Sen. Sherrod Brown joked about the popularity of his wife, former Plain Dealer columnist Connie Schultz. On the East Side of Cleveland, he said, people don't greet him. They say, "Where's Connie?"  But at least one conservative blogger did not know about their marriage. Yesterday, Schultz posted an email exchange with a blogger — whom she did not name — who said that they were working on "an expose on journalists in the elite media who socialize with elected officials they are assigned to cover."
