The center is among the items on the Planning and Zoning Commission's agenda tonight
Beachwood could soon be the home to a special Alzheimer's memory care center. The city's Planning and Zoning Commission will hear more about JEA Senior Living Inc.'s plans for the center to be located on Harvard Road. Carl Sanders, director of development for Vancouver, Wash.-based JEA, will request preliminary site plan approval. Equity Planning, the firm that owns the building at 3355 Richmond Road, will request site approval for a change in the rear entry door for Salon Lofts, a company that is expanding throughout Northeast Ohio. The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Beachwood City Hall.

Beachwood City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at Council Chambers in City Hall. Council is expected to review 18 ordinances, six of which involve reappointments to the Civil Service and Planning and Zoning commissions and plans examiner positions. Other ordinances center on fiscal appropriations and transfers that need to be made before the end of the year. Planning and Zoning Commission gives green light to new apartment building on George Zeiger Drive
The Beachwood Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to approve plans for a fourth building at Four Seasons apartments. The four-story building, a part of the site's master plan, will be U-shaped with a pond in the center. It will have 133 one-, two- and three-bedroom units ranging in size from 1,000 to 1,700 square feet. Goldberg Companies, Inc., owns the property. A representative said that the building is expected to take one year to build, and they hope to start construction around July 1.

The Beachwood Planning and Zoning Commission will consider several site plans at tonight's meeting. Beachwood City Schools will request approval for a wider driveway to Richmond Road at Beachwood High School. The district bought about an acre of land several weeks ago to widen the driveway and ease traffic. Aloft Hotel will seek the go-ahead for their plans for a hotel at Eaton Boulevard and Richmond Road. The building was approved in April for a site farther in the Chagrin Highlands, adjacent to the Eaton World Headquarters, but now, said developer Scott Berkowitz, the hotel is requesting approval on a bigger parcel.
