WATCH: Club Rock Puts Kids at Center Stage
Local band frontwoman runs rock classes at La Place in Beachwood
Nearly 100 kids ages 4 to 16 gather every week in the storefront Borders left last year to rock out to Adele, Kesha and other singers at Club Rock, the brainchild of Solon resident Avril Burg, lead singer in Run Avril Run. Girls and boys from all over the area, including Beachwood, Cleveland Heights, Twinsburg and Solon, learn about vocals, dancing and stage precence. Thanks for commenting, Scott! I was really excited to get to spend an afternoon "working" to make this video. The kids were so, so excited to be there, and I talked to a few girls who had taken the class since the Avril started in her Solon home. I was a little jealous that I didn't get to "rock out" when I was a pre-teen! more ›
