Landerhaven Summer Blood Drive

Cleveland, OH (August 23, 2012) – Landerhaven Executive Caterers will hold a special, end-of-summer blood drive event with the American Red Cross Tuesday, August 28 from 7 am to 7 pm at Landerhaven, located at 6111 Landerhaven Drive in Mayfield Heights.

All who come to donate will enjoy gourmet food compliments of Executive Caterers and will receive a goody bag filled with great gifts.  The event is sponsored by WTAM 1100, WELW 1330, Hillcrest Hospital, a Cleveland Clinic hospital, Lake Health, Kaiser Permanente, MetroHealth and University Hospitals.

“We are thrilled that a Landerhaven blood drive will happen this year.  We want to thank our sponsors, donors and volunteers who have been steadfast in their support of our mission in the past few months and this is the perfect opportunity to do that,” said Christy Sabaka, Communications Program Manager for the Northern Ohio Blood Services Region of the American Red Cross. “We are excited to be back in our communities, collecting blood and meeting the needs of patients across northern Ohio.”

In addition to saying thank you, the Landerhaven blood drive comes at an important time for the American Red Cross.  As summer comes to a close, there is still a critical need for blood donations, especially as the Labor Day holiday approaches.  Rolling up a sleeve and helping save lives can be a special way to celebrate the Labor Day holiday this year.

Donors are encouraged to make an appointment for this drive.  To schedule an appointment to donate, call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org and enter the sponsor code “Landerhaven.”  While appointments are preferred, walk-in donors will also be accepted.
