Christmas Day Hot Meals. The United Way has a searchable database on its website for soup kitchens open on Christmas Day. If you’re not celebrating the holiday – or if you can spare a couple of hours – your help could benefit others. See the list of kitchens near Beachwood here.

Give to the JFSA. Their Eighth Day of Hanukkah Program encourages parents to teach kids the Jewish principle tzedakah by giving back on the final night of Hanukkah. Find out more here. 

Give warmth. The Jewish Volunteer Network is accepting towels, washcloths, socks and underwear for homeless men and women in Cleveland through Friday. You can donate at the Mandel JCC or at the National Council of Jewish Women in Warrensville Heights.

Thrift! The National Council of Jewish Women is hosting a Thriftique Showroom through Dec. 31. Proceeds support the council’s charity projects around Cleveland.

Eat, Drink and Be Merry. The Beachland Ballroom is hosting a to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association of Cleveland.
