Thank you, Paul Chase

A thank you to Mr. Paul Chase Assistant Principal at Beachwood High School

As this school year comes to a close and my last child graduates from Beachwood High School I couldn't leave the school system without aknowledging our Assistant Principal Paul Chase.

I have been a Beachwood resident for a very very long time I'm a past graduate and I have seen Principals and Assistant Principals come and go. I have to admit when Paul Chase came on the scene I was skeptical to put it mildly; he appeared to be a high school student himself.

His first year at Beachwood he attended the kids after prom and just his presence there made a huge different in the behavior of the kids. They all had fun with not one incidence of bad behavior. I figured this was a fluke and that Bob Hardis and Paul Chase would attend one or two of these events and that would be all.

Again, I was wrong. They have been a steady fixture in our schools where and when it counts which has made a great difference in our kids. What I see is that the kids feel comfortable to approach Mr. Chase but know when he means business. I feel they have a great deal of respect for him.

Mr. Chase is the guy you don't want to have to go to because he is the one that doles out the punishments, detentions and the one you see for any misbehavior, yet the kids still admire and repect him.

As for being a parent and dealing with Mr. Chase, he has always been quick to respond to my emails or phone calls and always had a good idea on how to deal with any issues.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it has been a great pleasure to have been lucky enough to have Paul Chase's dedication and expertise as the Assistant Principal and I thank him from the bottom of my heart for all he has done for our kids.
