Bison spring sports teams open 2011 season

BASEBALL

The Bison returned home from a successful trip to Myrtle Beach only to be sidelined from playing in Northeast Ohio. Beachwood posted a 1-0 win over Worthington Christian and a 3-2 victory over Bethlehem (Ky.)  while in South Carolina, giving head coach Ben Singer reason to be eager to start the team's regular season schedule.

"We played really well and got some good pitching and defense," said Singer of his team's first action of the season. "I'm encouraged, but it was tough to go back in the gym after being outside for a week."
