Beachwood Bison Varsity Football Team Eyes Playoffs
The team's in 5th in Division IV, but with three games left in the season, just two points could knock them out of the playoffs.
With three games left in the season, the Beachwood Bison are fighting for a playoff position in the Ohio regional quarterfinals.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association on Tuesday released its weekly computer-point update for its six divisions. Beachwood is ranked 5th in Division IV, Region 13. Just two points separate Beachwood from the 8th-place slot — and only the top eight teams go to the playoffs.

If the Bison qualify for the playoffs, it would be the first time since 1989 under head coach — and later, athletic director — Joe Perella, Athletic Director Ryan Peters said.
The final rankings will be released on Oct. 28.
