Three Beachwood Students Named National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists

Students in the running for $34 million in scholarships

Two students and one Fuchs Mizrachi student have been named among 16,000 National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists across the country.

BHS seniors Scott Remer — — and Tigran Askaryan and Fuchs Mizrachi senior Stuart Levitin are in the running for a piece of the $34 million in National Merit scholarships that will be awarded this spring.

Semifinalist ranking is based on the students' scores on pre-SAT and pre-ACT scores. To become a finalist, students' SAT or ACT scores must reflect the pre-test scores and they must have outstanding academic records and recommendations from their school principals.
