POLL: Should Bryden's School Day Be Extended?

Beachwood City Schools considering lengthening Bryden day by 50 minutes

may change its arrival and dismissal times, extending the day by 50 minutes.

Under the proposal Superintendent Rich Markwardt made to the Board at Monday's meeting, Bryden's day would begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m., lasting an even seven hours.

Right now, the school day is six hours and ten minutes long, from 9:15 a.m. to 3:25 p.m.

The district was already considering extending the school day to enhance learning opportunities, Markwardt said, and the new schedule fits into the district's proposed revamped bus route.

Do you think the day should be extended? Take our poll, and tell us why in the comments!
