Proudest accomplishment: I am most proud of my own personal children. I have three children, ages 28, 26, and 18. (I also have a wonderful daughter-in-law.) My husband and I have created a strong and positive balance between home and work life. Our children and family are our priority. We have been very involved in their activities while they have been growing up, including sports, theater, dance, and volunteerism. Our family has participated in many philanthropies together, including the Interfaith Hospitality Network, our Temple, Stagecrafters, Heights Youth Theater, and the Orange Schools.

Why she went into her field: I entered the field of education because of the value of loving learning since I was a small child. My parents placed great emphasis on education and we valued the opportunities for learning as a family. I love working with children and their families; advocating for learning, and supporting teachers through the art of teaching. Working in schools gives me an energy to help shape our future. I am very excited about working with the incredible staff at Hilltop. Everyone is so passionate about teaching, and I share that passion!

One thing you may not have known: Something you may not know about me is that I am a big college football fan. I am a staunch Michigan Wolverine, as I graduated from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I attend at least one or two Michigan football games every year. Maize and Blue all the way!
