Dementia Care Training

Caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s and other dementias can be very challenging. Learning how to adjust communication styles and approach behavioral challenges can make all the difference.

The Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter offers comprehensive, full-day dementia care training sessions to family caregivers at locations throughout Northeast Ohio – at no charge. Professional caregivers are also invited to participate for a $50.00 fee. The class provides four CEUs for social workers and nurses.

Offered monthly, the Alzheimer’s Association Dementia Care Training course prepares caregivers for the challenges and helps to lessen the stress. The six-hour program is geared toward nursing assistants working in both community-based and long-term care settings, as well as family members caring for a loved one.
