Debaters Head to National Competitions

Seven students to travel to D.C. this weekend; one will compete in Dallas next month

Members from will head to Washington, D.C., this weekend to compete in the National Catholic Forensics Leaugue.

Seven students qualified for the contest, which pits students from across the country against each other in several events.

Elliot Angart and Beth Moses will compete in Congressional Debate, the team of Victor Tse and Jordan Cohen will compete in Public Forum Debate, the team of Wooyoung Lee and Max Yanowitz will compete in Public Forum, and Jessica Gill in Oratorical Declamation.

Angart* also qualified for the National Forensics League Tournament in Dallas the first week in June. The team is still waiting to hear if either of the two Bison who made first alternate will attend.

The team is bottom-heavy with many sophomores, which makes their performance especially exceptional.
