Bryden Students Celebrate Right To Read Week

To cap a week's worth of festivities, the students of Bryden Elementary dressed as what they want to be when they grow up

Bryden Elementary capped its celebration of Right To Read week Friday when its students dressed up as the professions they want to have when they grow up.

In other Bryden-related news, Bryden had the state's third highest Performance Index score - out of 3,457 Ohio public and charter schools - on the Ohio Department of Education's report cards for the 2011-2012 school year.

Bryden's 114.3 performance index was the third highest in the state and the highest of any noncharter public school.

Performance index scores are based on student performance on the Ohio Achievement Assessments that are administered in reading and math for third through eight grades, as well as science for grades 5 and 8.
