Board Bids Farewell to Rosenbaum

Rosenbaum was known on the board for her strong opinions, but members remarked that her passion and sense of humor complemented her no-nonsense attitude.

“You are and have been a great board member with a great passion for what you do,” said member Brian Weiss. “You lead this way and you live your life this way, in your professional life, our personal life, and your board life.”

David Ostro started on the board just weeks after Rosenbaum 12 years ago. “We began our board work as total strangers—“ he paused. “Don’t cry because you’re going to make me cry,” he joked.

“Together we’ve shared district successes and a few failures, family achievements, and personal challenges. I’m glad to say that at the end of 12 years of working together to nurture this district and its children—“ his voice broke “—we end our board work together tonight as friends.”

The Board gave Rosenbaum a commemorative brick for ’s entry and unanimously approved a resolution to honor her.

"It's been a journey and an experience that I will value for the rest of my life. During the tenure on the board I've learned many many things," said Rosenbaum.

"These lessons I believe have not only helped me on the Board but I believe have helped me in various other aspects of my life, and they're experiences and lessons that I don't think everybody gets in their life."

Jennifer* Tramer also leaves the board this year, but was not at the meeting due to illness. The Board unanimously approved a resolution to honor her, too.
