Beachwood Schools to Hire New Part-Time Media Manager

District reviewing applicants this week for new position

Beachwood City Schools will hire a part-time worker to handle day-to-day media, public relations and design.

The district is reviewing applicants for a Public Relations, Media & Design Manager this week, said spokesperson Doug Levin. The position was originally approved by the Board of Education in 2011, but was never filled.

Levin will supervise the manager, who is taking some of his responsibilities while he spends more times on marketing and other communications duties, he said.

Three resolutions on the original agenda — modifications to the contracts for Superintendent Rich Markwardt and Board Treasurer Michelle Mills and a resolution to re-employ Mills — were pulled from the agenda and will likely be voted on at the next meeting.
