Beachwood City Schools Announces New Schedule

Beachwood High School, Middle School and elementary schools affected by new arrival and dismissal times.

Superintendent Rich Markwardt announced changes to the four schools' arrival and dismissal schedules in an email to parents this afternoon.

The changes stemmed from an effort from the busing staff to streamline the district's transportation, but Markwardt stressed that busing efficiency is prioritzed second to serving the student's needs.

"The main focus of building a schedule for any school must be its positive impact on student learning. Please be assured that the principals and I see this year's schedules as fulfilling that purpose," Markwardt wrote in his note to parents.
