PHOTOS: Beachwood Library Renovations Nearing Completion

Move of main entrance, new drive-thru among changes

The renovations are about six weeks away from completion, said Branch Manager Bill Kelly.

The library has been open throughout the which were paid for by a bond sale and expected to be complete May 8.

A drive-through window will be added to the west side of the building, and the main entrance, which is on that side now, will be moved to the north side, adjacent to the parking lot.

Interior renovations further separate and define the teen section from the rest of the library. A new children’s story time room, which is nearing completion, and space for an ongoing Friends of the Beachwood Branch book sale will be added to the floor plan.

The renovations are part of 13 projects taken on by the library system in its $75 million Facilities Master Plan, which outlines new construction, relocation, renovations and consolidation of branches across the county.
