County Offering 7 Ways to Pay Property Taxes

The last day to pay Cuyahoga County property taxes is Wednesday, July 10, 2013.

Property taxes from the Cuyahoga County Treasurer’s office should be hitting resident's mailboxes soon.

There are currently seven options for paying property taxes:

  • Online
  • By phone
  • In person
  • Drop boxes
  • Curbside drop off
  • Banks
  • By mail
The treasurer's office said in a prepared statement that it prefers to have payments paid by phone or online.

The last day to pay without penalty is July 10, 2013.

"It is the goal of the Treasury Department of Cuyahoga County to assure that we serve our taxpayers well, therefore we have identified multiple options for them to pay.  We will continue to automate and make interfacing with our office easier and more efficient.  Our new web applications are an attempt to expand upon the services we offer and make every transaction with the Treasurer's office more user friendly,” said Mark A. Parks, Jr., Cuyahoga County Treasurer, in a press release.

Cuyahoga County residents have the option to opt in to the new email service, which will allow taxpayers to receive important due date notices, the latest Cuyahoga County news, programs, services and announcements. The goal of the email service is to eventually send tax bills via email in the near future. 

Taxpayers needing assistance paying delinquent taxes can go online and complete a request form to find out if they are eligible for a Delinquent Payment Plan. Once taxpayers complete the online request, they will receive an email reply within one business day on whether or not they have the option of setting up an installment plan.
