The city of Beachwood has been going through some changes lately, and we wanted to make it easy for you to find information about the transformation quickly.

Driven by low occupancy and dilapidation in its largest, once-booming office park, city officials are looking to change the way Beachwood does - and brings - business. They're take several steps to make this happen, and we've created a Topic Page to help you sort through the process.

Over the last year, the city has shuttered its small business incubator and economic development department to hire consultants to help guide the city's efforts to bring vibrant, sustainable business to the city, the key peice to the city's strategy to boost economic development.

We've also welcomed Ahuja Medical Center and Eaton, seen zoning laws in Commerce Park be expanded and loosened, discussed a Convention and Visitors Bureau and watched a hotel be proposed, turned down, and - now - proposed again, in a different location.

Residents have been a big peice of these changes, speaking up on the Aloft Hotel proposal and attending meetings about big initiatives along the way.
