Beachwood Schools to Approve Director of HR Tonight

Michelle Vectirelis has worked in HR management for over 16 years

The Beachwood City Schools Board of Education is expected to approve a contract for a Director of Human Resources at tonight’s Board of Education meeting.

Michelle Vectirelis’ hiring would complete the district’s  — also up for final approval tonight — that included eliminating two top positions and replacing them with two new positions.

filled by former Hilltop third-grade teacher Kenneth Veon, is the Director of Technology and Curriculum.

Vectirelis most recently worked for almost four years as the director of human resources at the Regency Hospital Company. Before that, she was an HR manager at privately held building materials company Oatey and a corporate training specialist for YRC Worldwide, Inc., a public transportation company.

She has a bachelor's degree in management and marketing from Ashland University and a total of more than 16 years in human resources management.

Vectirelis’ one-year contract would pay about $83,000.

All told, the district is saving more than $50,000 on the two reorganized positions, which re-delegate their responsibilities.
