The library system’s first drive-through window and interior renovations are coming to the by the end of this year.

The Beachwood Planning and Zoning Commission approved plans for exterior renovations to the building at 25501 Shaker Blvd. at a recent meeting. A drive-through window will be added to the west side of the building, and the main entrance, which is on that side now, will be moved to the north side, adjacent to the parking lot.

Interior renovations will further separate and define the teen section from the rest of the library. A new children’s story time room and space for an ongoing Friends of the Beachwood Branch book sale will be added to the floorplan.
