Beachwood City Council Passes Alternative Energy Code

No citizen offered remarks on Beachwood's new alternative energy code before council voted unanimously to pass it at Monday's council meeting.

The code is almost a year in the making, said Beachwood City Planner George Smerigan.

Smerigan worked with Beachwood’s building commissioner and the building and grounds committee to write the code. The group took into consideration other cities’ codes and information from alternative energy industry professionals.
