Armond Budish Resigns from House Democratic Leader Post

Budish said to be focusing on Cuyahoga County Executive run

House Representative Armond Budish, D-Beachwood, stepped down from his post as Ohio House of Representatives Minority Leader and Speaker to focus on his run for Cuyahoga County Executive, the Columbus Dispatch reports.

Columbus Rep. Tracy Maxwell Heard was chosen by the House to replace Budish, the newspaper adds.

Budish has been in that post for five years. Assistant House Minority Leader Matt Szollosi, D-Oregon, stepped down at the same time.
