Armond Budish Considering Run for Cuyahoga County Executive

Budish is one of two Democrats considering the county's top post.

Ohio Rep. Armond Budish is among the two Democrats considering a run for Cuyahoga County Executive now that Ed FitzGerald has announced his intention to run for Ohio Governor.

Budish, the democratic leader of the House from District 8, which includes Beachwood, told the Cleveland Jewish News that he was taking a "good, hard look at it," reported the newspaper.

The Plain Dealer also reported that Budish was one of three Democrats considering a run at the county executive post. Also considering the job is Jim Rokakis, vice president of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy and former Cuyahoga County Treasurer. It seemed that Chris Ronayne, the president of University Circle, was interested in also running, but he is not, reported The Plain Dealer.
