Alzheimer's Care Center Gets Council OK

New Harvard Road facility will serve people with moderate to severe Alzheimer's and dementia.

Preliminary site plans for an Alzheimer's care center were approved at Beachwood City Council last night.

JEA Senior Living, Inc. will build a 33,000-square-foot, 66-bed facility for patients with moderate to severe Alzheimer's disease.

The center, adjacent to the University Hospitals Rehabilitation Hospital, will employ 45 to 50 people, said a representative from the property owner at a January Planning & Zoning meeting.
