Woman Cited After Crash & Mall Thefts: Beachwood Blotter

Woman injured and cited in crash

4:07 p.m. — Police responded to a two-car crash on Cedar Road near the southbound entrance of Interstate 271 including a nine-month pregnant woman.
According to a police report, the woman's stomach struck the steering wheel of her blue Saab as she drove. That caused her vehicle to strike a gray Pontiac.
The woman was transported to Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights for possible injuries. She was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.

Woman arrested at H&M

4:35 p.m. — arrested a woman for a shoplifting attempt at a clothing store.

Officers arrested a woman who allegedly tried to steal $27.90 worth of clothing from H & M clothing store. She was charged with shoplifting and possessing criminal tools.

Man tries to get away with Nordstrom merchandise

4:58 p.m. — Officers arrested a man for stealing multiple items from at Beachwood Place.

The man was arrested for misdemeanor theft for shoplifting $771.50 worth of merchandise.
