WATCH: Facebook Murder-for-Hire Closing Arguments

Defense, prosecutors present last word on charges against Christine Metter

Closing arguments were presented this afternoon in the murder-for-hire trial of Christine Metter.

 after prosecutors say she and her father, Al Zombory, tried to hire a hit man to kill David Metter, her ex-husband. Zombory is to be tried later.

The jury went to deliberate just after 4 p.m., and will reconvene at 8:30 Thursday morning. We'll have a verdict as soon as it is announced.

Metter's jury trial on a charge of conspiracy to commit murder began last week.  that Metter acted out of fear for her safety and was entrapped in the undercover police investigation.

The state's burden is to prove that Metter helped plan or agreed to the plan to kill her ex-husband.

Friday Metter took the stand and told the jury  She also  and that she thought it was a joke. Last week jurors also heard from  the man who told police that Metter's father offered him $50,000 for the murder, and 

David Metter, the intended target, 

Sabo testified again Tuesday after a woman came forward with Facebook messages she said he sent her about money and fame.

Metter is in Lake County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

 His trial is scheduled for Jan. 31.
