Taking Shoplifting To A New Level of Dangerous: Beachwood Police Blotter

Crashing car after fleeing police

A man shoplifted a pair of jeans from Dillard’s at Beachwood Place Mall at 10:40 a.m. Monday July 15. He fled the store, got in a car and drove recklessly through the parking lot, striking another car in the lot. The man was later found in Richmond Heights and arrested without incident. He faces charges of shoplifting, fleeing police, reckless driving and failure to stop after an accident.

Two men were arrested at 2:40 p.m. Friday July 12 at H&M at Beachwood Place Mall after trying to shoplift two pair of jeans, blue blazer, black and orange T-shirt. One of the men was charged with theft and resisting arrest and the other was charged with assault on police officer, robbery, criminal trespass.
