Suspect drops over $2,000 in stolen jeans during chase

Monday, June 4, 2:53 p.m. — security reported that they began following a woman who they saw stuffing jeans into a shopping bag. They started to follow the woman, and she dropped the shopping bag as she ran out of the store and into a waiting car. The car left, and security found 10 pairs of stolen jeans valued at $2,235 in the bag.

Suspected robbery reported at ATM

Monday, June 4, 11:19 p.m. — Someone reported that they may have seen a robbery at the ATM. They said that a man walked up to them and said that a second man was forcing him to withdraw money to pay him back on a debt. The first man withdrew the money and left with the second man.

Target practice? Men hunting squirrels, birds with pellet gun

Tuesday, June 5, 12:25 p.m. — A Cedarview Drive resident reported that two men were shooting at squirrels and birds in a neighboring back yard. Police did not find anyone matching the suspects’ descriptions.

Woman arrested for drunken driving, possession of marijuana

Wednesday, June 6, 12:10 a.m. — A woman was arrested and charged with drunken driving, possession of marijuana and violating turn and stop signals on Richmond Road near Life Time Fitness.

Juveniles charged with open container, curfew

Wednesday, June 6, 2:15 a.m. — A car was stopped on the entrance ramp from Chagrin Boulevard to Interstate 271 south for violating marked lanes. The driver, a minor, was arrested and charged with open container, curfew and continuous lanes of travel. A minor female with him was arrested and charged with violating curfew.

Men fight at Fairmount home

Wednesday, June 6, 11:14 p.m. — Two men were arrested and charged with disorderly conduct at a Fairmount Boulevard home after police say they got into a fight.
