Friday, June 8, 4:25 p.m. — A woman didn't get too far in her attempt to steal merchandise from .

Officers responded to a call that an adult female was attempting to get away with shoplifting at . According to a police report, officers caught the woman in the act and arrested her. She tried to exit with $326 worth of goods.

No lights, pot possession

Saturday, June 9, 12:56 a.m. — An early morning bike ride turned into a couple of citations for two men on Cedar Road.

stopped two males who were spotted riding the same bicycle that had no lights or reflectors on it. Police cited one of them men for possession of marijuana.

Resident concerned about threatening email

Saturday, June 9, 10:06 a.m. — A Belvoir Boulevard resident called police to alert them of a threatening email.

The man said he received an email that included an extortion demand and death threats. Though he received the email at his job in Solon, the man was still concerned for his safety while away from work.

Police agreed to give special attention to his home, according to a police report.
