Thursday, Sept. 27, 1:23 p.m. — A woman was charged with receiving $218 of stolen property and obstructing official business at Petco.

Possum makes nest of car wheel well

Thursday, Sept. 27, 1:20 p.m. — A possum found an unusual place to sleep last week. A woman called police from The Village apartments to report that she spotted a possum sleeping on top of the tire of her SUV and it would not leave. The city’s animal warden came and removed it.

Local builders suspect employee of stealing

Thursday, Sept. 27, 12:07 p.m. — A local building company reported that they suspected an employee of stealing tools and checks totaling $975.
