Police free trapped feline

Sunday, July 22, 8:38 p.m. — A Halburton Road resident reported that her cat had gotten trapped in her neighbor’s garage, and the neighbors were on vacation. Police helped her get into the garage to free the cat but noted that a glass pane was damaged.

Trailer, tools valued at $9,500 stolen

Tuesday, July 24, 2:25 p.m. — A man reported that a trailer and tools was stolen from the Clarion Hotel. He did not know they were missing until Copley Police contacted him to tell him they had found it in their township.

Stolen credit card used at hotel

Monday, July 23, 5:50 p.m. — Someone tried to pay for their rooms at the Embassy Suites Hotel with a stolen credit card. They left before police arrived.

We don’t want your popsicles

July 23, 6:56 p.m. — A man from a GMC dealership was handing out popsicles at the intersection of Chagrin Boulevard and Enterprise Parkway, said police. They gave him a verbal warning for handing them out to passing cars and for hanging signs on public property.
