R.H. Myers Apartments tenant reports man stole hyrocodone from unit

An exterminator was arrested at a senior living apartment building after he hid stolen prescription pills in his sock, say

A woman called police just after 1 p.m. on April 4 and reported that she believed that the exterminator had stolen hydrocodone pills while he was checking her unit in for bugs.

Police found the man the woman said was in her apartment — he was still in the apartment building — and when they searched him, they found the stolen pills in his sock, said police.

He was arrested, but the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor’s Office has not yet charged him. It’s possible that he will be placed in a drug diversion program, according to court documents.

He could face a felony charge of theft of drugs, an offense that carries a six- to 18-month jail sentence and a $5,000 fine.
