Pepper Pike Dispatch Moves to Beachwood Without Incident

Successful transfer means savings for Pepper Pike and better service for Beachwood, say city officials.

Pepper Pike's three-person dispatch center transitioned smoothly to Beachwood's, the Sun Press reported today.

We told you in June about the switch, which happened on July 23.

The move was set for Aug. 1, according to the agreement approved by Beachwood City Council in June, with the three employees from Pepper Pike being given preference for three new positions in the 's dispatch center. Pepper Pike will cover the cost of the extra staff at $20,000 per month.
