Man Steals $5K of Scarves; Five Houses Hit With Paintballs

Sunday, Jan. 30

11:16 a.m. - Christopher Roberts, 39, of Cleveland was arrested at Park East Care and Rehabilitation, 3800 Park East, and charged with domestic violence and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehicle. Police said he fought with a family member while visiting another relative at the facility, but the firearm was not brandished.

10:27 a.m. – Saks Fifth Avenue at the Beachwood Place Mall reported at a man stole $5,000 worth of Burberry scarves. No suspect was found.

8:53 p.m. – Robert Lang, 51, of Euclid was arrested at Nordstrom at the Beachwood Place Mall and charged with stealing three watches valued at $585.

Thursday, Feb. 3

1:36 p.m. – A 17-year-old girl from Maple Heights was arrested at Dillard’s and charged with stealing several pieces of clothing as well as a clerk’s cell phone, valued in total at $390.

8:21 p.m. – An E. Baintree Road resident reported that someone threw raw eggs at their home.

Friday, Feb. 4

2:08 p.m. – A woman was arrested at Saks Fifth Avenue at the Beachwood Place Mall and charge with stealing a purse worth $765.99.

Saturday, Feb. 5

10:28 p.m. to 11:08 p.m. – Residents of five homes on Burkhurst Drive, Deborah Drive and Wimbledon Road reported that their homes or cars were struck with paintballs. All but one report specified that no permanent damage was done.
