Man Charged With Mall Urination

Beachwood Police incidents Jan. 4 to 7

Man urinates in mall office           

Jan. 4, 5:16 p.m. — Employees at the Beachwood Place Mall report that a man walked into their office and asked to use the bathroom. They told him that there was not one in the office, and he should go to Nordstrom.

Then, the report says, the employee heard the man unzip his pants.

Police say he urinated on the floor of the office. He was charged with disorderly conduct and turned over to the East Cleveland Police Department on an active arrest warrant.

Business accuses employee of stealing night deposits

Jan. 7, 3 p.m. — Proactive Solutions at the Beachwood Place Mall reported that an employee has stolen $221.91 in night deposits.

Officers chase accused shoplifter

Jan. 7, 6:59 p.m. — Nordstrom at the Beachwood Place Mall reported a theft of $1,990 of merchandise in progress. Police responded to the store and reported that the suspect was seen fleeing in a vehicle, but he was not caught.
