Lost Dog, Found Handgun, Kittens and a License Plate: Police Blotter

Lost and Found seemed to be the theme at the Beachwood Police department this weekend. Check out the variety. 

Wallet lost at home

A Fairmount Boulevard resident called Beachwood Police on Monday June 24 to report that he lost his wallet in his home at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 22.

Dog lost and reunited with owner

Police found a gray dog with a blue tag at 1:30 p.m. Friday on Hurlingham Road. They were able to return the dog to its owner, who lives on Annesley Road.

Kittens, a cat and a rabbit

A resident of Hazelmere Road caught a mother cat and her kittens and a rabbit in her yard on Friday at 1 p.m. She called police to come and take them to the animal warden.

Guess he didn't want that gun

On Friday at noon, a Richmond Road resident turned an old handgun in to police to be destroyed.

License Plate Replaced

A Beachwood Services department employee turned in a car license plate that was found at 10:30 a.m. Friday. When police reached out to the owner, he told them he’d already replaced it so they could destroy it.
