Hit-and-Run Driver Damages Parked Car in Beachwood Driveway

Police searching for license plate number embedded in damaged car

Police are looking for a driver who hit a parked car in a Beachwood driveway after crossing the median on Fairmount Road, and then left the scene of the crash.

According to the report, the incident happened overnight Saturday, May 12, possibly at around 2:30 a.m. Sunday, May 13.

A car traveling north on Rocklyn Road in Shaker Heights crossed the grassy median on Fairmount, crossed the westbound lanes, then jumped the curb and traveled through a resident’s yard before hitting a Cadillac parked in the driveway.

The Cadillac’s driver’s side doors suffered damage, but no residents of the home were injured.

Police found an impression of some of the license plate number and have released it to area police departments.

No suspects have been identified. Anyone with information about the incident should call Beachwood Police at (216) 464-1234.
